The great Indian IT dream

There are various sections of people some of us are addicted to be busy. If we don’t have work we create it. There was this fellow I know John from a small town in the interiors of Madhya Pradesh. He was an average IT professional with very high ambitions a dream of doing MBA one day and then to work for Lehman Brothers. Fresh out of college he got an admission in one of the top MNC of INDIA say XYZ Inc. He did appear for CAT that year but could not attain any success in it since college, studies - the pressure was too much to handle. Hence he decided that after two years of work experience he can appear for MBA and his chances of getting into IIMs will be "high". So he started getting himself involved in the daily routines of the so called office routine. However in the back of his mind he was always aware that this is not the place where he belongs and MBA was his real dream.
Remember as I mentioned earlier he was addicted to be busy. Hence he started working, working and working day in and day out. Taking extra work which he was never credited for. He worked for 15 – 16 hrs a day. This never bothered him; this gave him a high as if he was a real big shot in the organization. He used to boasts with his friends as to how much work he does and of how great significance he holds in his team. But he was never officially credited for his effort. In the mean while he made many friends many of them have spent there entire life in metro hence to mix well with them he started to like things like in music heavy metal, to him it sounded nothing more than a broken radio. Also he started to drink no "BOOZ" it really made him believe that he is one of them. But in his heart he was still a simple guy from a small town who still like her Donald Duck. Excess of anything is bad, so this pretentious attitude in couple of months made him to forget his likes and dislikes. Then something strange started to happen his dream of doing an MBA seems to drift away. Deep in his heart he envied the people who were able to make to IIM this year and if only he had less work he also might have been there. But he was stuck there in to the web of his work now that people around him knew that he like to be overworked started pouring work on him. He felt lost but then he didn’t had time to think about it he was too busy to waste time on cribbing hence he started fate to take over him. I guess John’s dream is no less different than mine or yours. We all strongly believe that we don’t belong here and we are overworked underpaid labors. But are we really doing something to change our own fate. Here no one is victimizing us we are our own victims. We are the victim of our own laziness or own taken for granted attitude. I can say this because I have felt it I am a part of this great Indian IT dream. I dreamed to be different than the rest but I am living my biggest night mare. I am lost in the crowd now I am one of those whom I despised my entire life. Some times it gets frustrated but except for cribbing I am not able to do anything. Now I have decided I won’t let fate take over I will design my own fate. I am proud of what I am and won’t pretend to be some one else just so that people will accept me. I wish we all could realize this before it is too late. Break the shell today yes I am talking to you. All the best.

Life is nothing but an art of drawing without using an eraser

Some people have weird habit of adding a phrase at then end of there mail as if it the motto of there life and they are blind followers of it. Like one of my close friends has the above mentioned line stated at the bottom of a very hilarious mails. I guess she has never heard of "amnesia". Also she hasn’t watched the movie called as PAYCHECK. With the advances made by science in the files of neuro-technology we can choose as to which memories we want to stay with and what we want to be erased. Hope they make this discovery soon since I have many memories which I can easily live without knowing it ever happened. For example the instance I flunked in my semester like the time when my mother caught me sneaking in to the house after a late night party I wasn’t allowed to step outside of my house for a month. There are more painful memories than this which I can live without knowing. However all the happy memories in my life will make my life sound very boring? I guess with the invention of this machine will come an ethical question would it be allowed to erase your memory parents could forcibly erase the satanic memories of their kids it can be a huge violation of the human rights commission. Also if this machine put in to the wrong hands can be very destructive. Hence like all the other innovative inventions of this century this too will be banned. Sad L
